Localization of PfSmD1, SmD2 and SmD3 at the asexual blood stages of Plasmodium falciparum. Stage-specific expression of Plasmodium Sm proteins at asexual blood stages; ring (8 hr), trophozoite (36 hr) and schizont (42 hr) stages by immuno-localization. Immuno-fluorescence assay were performed using (A) anti mouse-PfSmD1, (B) anti- PfSmD2 and (C) anti-PfSmD3 antisera (1:50 dilution) on thin blood smears of P. falciparum. PfSm proteins showed nucleo-cytoplasmic localization. Hossain M, Sharma S, Korde R, Kanodia S, Chugh M, Rawat K, Malhotra P. Upper panel: Co-localization of PfTudor-SN and Histone h2A. Immunofluorescence assays were performed at P. falciparum schizont stage using peptide antibodies generated against Histone h2A. The interacting h2A in the parasite were co-localized with anti-PfTudor-SN antibody in the nucleus.Lower panel: .Co-localization of PfTudor-SN and SmD1 protein of the parasite. PfTudor-SN was also co-localized with the PfSmD1 suggesting a close association between themHossain MJ, Korde R, Singh PK, Kanodia S, Ranjan R, Ram G, Kalsey GS, Singh R, Malhotra P.
