RMgm-1127
Normal numbers of gametocytes. Exflagellation numbers are formed. Activated pbgamer male gametocytes produce morphologically normal and motile microgametes; however, the vast majority of them was unable to detach from the residual body of the gametocytes and remained attached to the exflagellation centers even 30 min post activation. |

P. berghei ANKA | Ookinete |
Difference from wild-type |
RMgm-1289
The mutants developed into ookinetes with normal conversion rates. However, the morphology of ookinetes appeared somewhat laterally longer than those of the wild-type parasites. Calculation of the heightwidth ratios of these ookinetes confirmed that they had abnormal morphologies. |
