Imaging data (from Malaria Metabolic Pathways)

Localization of PfMLH immunofluorescence staining. The cells were fixed and immunostained. Panel (i) super-imposed image of phase and DAPI, (ii) immunofluorescently stained cell (green, P. falciparum MLH), (iii) image of cell stained with DAPI, (iv) and (v) super-imposed images. Panel “a” is the schizont stage stained with pre-immune IgG and panel “b–e” are ring, trophozoite, schizont and merozoite stages of the development of P. falciparum 3D7 strain stained with immune IgG. Panel “f” is schizont stage of the development of P. falciparum Dd2 strain stained with immune IgG. PfMLH is mainly localized in the nuclear compartment. there was no detectable expression of PfMLH in the ring and trophozoite stages.Tarique M, Satsangi AT, Ahmad M, Singh S, Tuteja R. Localization of PfUvrD. Immunofluorescence staining. The cells were fixed and immunostained. Panel (i) phase (ii) image of cell stained with DAPI (iii) immunofluorescently stained cell (green, P. falciparum UvrD) (iv) immunofluorescently stained cell (red, P. falciparum MLH) and (v) super-imposed images. Both proteins co-localize in the nucleus in a cell cycle-dependent manner with peak expression in the schizont stages of the development.Ahmad M, Ansari A, Tarique M, Satsangi AT, Tuteja R. Plasmodium falciparum UvrD Helicase Translocates in 3' to 5' Direction, Colocalizes with MLH and Modulates Its Activity through Physical Interaction. PLoS One. 2012;7(11):e49385.
